Rikki is my best friend. We don’t see each other often. We don’t talk on a weekly basis. But when we see each other, we pick up where we left off, as if we were never separated. We’ve been friends since high school (not too long ago, eh hem…) and became even closer after we found out we were actually related! She’s been the one friend by my side throughout my adult life. She’s grounded, graceful, loyal, honest, and knows what to say when it needs to be said.
Glen, her long time boyfriend-now husband!-is a great mirror to her beautiful qualities. He’s handsome, smart, tender, giving and very loving. Who could want more for their dearly loved friend?
People don’t often realize that taking pictures can be an intimate thing. There’s a stranger (most of the time) in your personal space taking pictures of you (bride & groom) and you’re supposed to look in love and be all cozy. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable and awkward. Taking Rikki & Glen’s photos was far from that-it was natural, comfortable and intimate. I was with my best friend and she was with me! (And Glen was there too! HA! Kidding.) It was a very special moment for me as a friend. To be able to capture a moment in their lives that will be one of the most important of all moments! For that I am honored.
Congratulations Glen & Rikki! May your marriage be filled with love, great memories and LOTS of children!
